Thank you for your letter. It is the task of the PAC to try and give a wide variety of vehicles the
fair chance of being competitive, within the performance envelope of its classes, regardless of
when that vehicle was originally built. This suggested class philosophy change would alienate
a large number of HP racers, and effectively push them out of the category. The goal will
remain to try and include as many vehicles into the performance realm of the Prod classes as
reasonable. In HP specifically, newer cars are being classified, and meshing into its typical
fields, adding to the sustainability and attractiveness of the class.
