Allow Replacement of Rear Window Glass in Closed Cars
#26649 from James Bell · Not recommended · Minutes (2019-05 Fastrack)
Thank you for your letter. Per rule 9.1.5.E.9.a.8.C, closed top cars are already allowed to
replace their rear glass with polycarbonate material: “Rear, door, vent, and quarter window
glass can be replaced with a clear polycarbonate material having a minimum thickness of
3mm.” Allowance of any holes in the rear window is still not recommended.
