Thank you for your letter. The Club Racing Board does not recommend this change. Removal of the
required restrictor is not supported by the data: the P1 rules permit cars using a 2.0L engine to weigh 75
lbs. less than those using a 2.5L engine. The Club Racing Board will continue to monitor class
performance and will make appropriate, data-based adjustments as necessary.
