Thank you for your letter. The GT4 cars are required to conform to a specific set of rules. Their BOP in the class is dependent on
them conforming to those rules. Traditional T1 cars have the option of upgrading to a sequential gearbox, similar to what is in a
GT4 car. If you opt to run the stock transmission, you can remove 100lbs. We are willing to consider changing the rules so that
an alternative OEM transmission could be treated like a sequential. This would allow you to install a late model OEM alternative.
This rule wouldn't take effect until 2024.
