Proposed Change to 6.11.3
#34608 from Earl Hurlbut · Member feedback requested · Minutes (2023-10 Fastrack)
In Racing Rules and Procedures, GCR section 6.11.3, change as follows:
"Off-Course Excursions (Track Limits)
Drivers are required to follow the pavement or marked course, and may not gain an advantage from an off-course excursion.
Unless the Supplemental Regulations specify otherwise, a driver who leaves an artificially marked course or an airport circuit
with all four wheels must reenter the course at the same location where he went off, subject to the directions of officials
controlling reentry.
A. Drivers must remain within the delineated boundaries of the racing surface (Appendix A - #27 Racing Surface). Drivers gaining
an unfair advantage by placing four wheels beyond the designated racing surface may incur penalties.
Show 2 more lines
B. Drivers exceeding track limits are expected to reenter the racing surface safely without gaining a lasting advantage. Unsafe
reentry or reentry contrary to direction from an official(s) may result in penalties."
