Nissan 280zx/280Z Weight Change Request

Thank you for your letter. In EP, the 280Z is classified 135lbs heavier than the 280ZX because the 280Z spec line has the following
allowances that the 280ZX does not get:
- Carb option, with two Hitachi-SU with 46mm throttle bores.
- Level1 dry sump, connecting rods, intake manifold porting, crankshaft, rocker arms and cam followers.
There is no current reasoning for why this should be changed. If the letter writer feels that the 280Z is classified at too high of a
weight versus its competitors, and a case can be made for it to receive a weight break, then that could be considered with a
sperate letter.
