Proposed Rule change for VW Rabbit 1.7L

Thank you for your letter; this change is not recommended. If there's a desire to run the 1.8L crank then Mr. LaManna
should consider using the 1.8L engine which is also classified as an option in HP in this chassis and is a well-known,
competitive option. As for the weight of the VW (1.7L and 1.6L) the Committee finds it to be appropriate at this time. It
is understood that these engines will not have the top-end speed of the 1.8L, but they are also classified at a
substantially lighter weight providing other performance attributes. Upon further request by Mr. LaManna (to be
submitted through the letter system) the PAC would be open to collecting data on his car during the 2024 season.
