Request to Add 2006 - 2011 VW Beetle to Spec Line.
#35426 from G Brian Metcalf · Not recommended · Minutes (2024-01 Fastrack)
Thank you for your letter, but this addition is not recommended. The '06-'10 Beetle came with a 2.5L engine, larger
brakes, and other cosmetic changes, all of which make it a different car than the '98-'05 and push it beyond the
performance scope of HP. It is also not a feasible to specify or restrict which parts from which years of a production run
can be used within a spec line.
Please note that it is already legal to use identical parts to those that were fitted as Original Equipment even if they were
pulled from a car that's not within the model/trim/year limitations of the spec line.
