Thank you for your letter. When a car is classed, the wheel diameter and width is based on the wheels that came OE on the base
model of the car. In some cases, when a car has proven to be competitive on the wheel spec, it is pretty much set in stone. If a
car hasn't been proven to be competitive, the committee is receptive to changing the size. Keep in mind, usually wheel and tire
sizes are maximums.
