Delay of Flagtronics Mandate for Formula Cars
#35930 from Michael Varacins · Not recommended · Minutes (2024-08 Fastrack)
Thank you for your letter. Flagtronics reports that 250 small formula/prototype units will be available for sale beginning July 15
and will ship one week later, July 22. The price of these units will be $549.99. In that there will be ample time available for
installation of these units in advance of the 2024 Runoffs they will be required for all cars competing. Should an issue arise with
respect to availability this decision will be reconsidered. Based upon experience to date, there is ample evidence that the
implementation of these units will enhance safety, driver awareness, and the ability to expedite incident clean up through use of
the Full Course Yellow and virtual safety car conditions.
