Thank you for your letter. When the Majors Conference Championships were established in 2013, they were done to include
only specific races but offer the opportunity for drivers to score points and compete for multiple championships. Counting
outside events would extend each Conference Championship to the final Majors race weekend in the country, which can be
months after the last scheduled race within a Conference.
