Request to Classify SMX car in EP

Thank you for your letter. By permitting SMX cars to double-dip into EP, it would place a potentially large number of cars directly
into the middle of the Production race group that are not prepped as or intended to run as Production cars, especially within the
FP and HP fields, and potentially impact race finishes, points, and contingencies for cars that were actually prepped for and
intended to race in Production.
Additionally, there are modifications allowed in SMX that are not allowed in Limited-Prep Production (which all new
classifications are to be classed as), meaning an allowance would need to be made that's against Production philosophy in order
to allow SMX to run in a Prod class.
The duty of the PAC is to grow and support Production classes for Production racers, and for these reasons, this request is not
