Thank you for your letter. The Club Racing Board and SCCA staff have contacted event officials to better understand what
happened. The driver of the car in question had not obtained permission to start from the Race Director and was mistakenly
allowed on track. The record shows that the driver involved in this incident had met the participation standard suggested in your
letter. The driver was placed on one event probation and penalized one point for avoidable contact. Event volunteer staff has
been counseled on the situation with an emphasis on the protocol for a car arriving to grid without a qualifying time.
