Mustang BoP Adjustment

#38564 from Ronald Lombardo · No action required · Minutes (2025-08 Fastrack)

Thank you for your letter. BOP adjustments are commonly made using complex reports that compare real-world on-track
data. You share a spec line with the car that dominated the Runoffs last year. The data from that event was compared to a
Corvette in the same event, as well as other competitive spec lines. The new weight in the Boss 302 S197 spec line is actually
less than the winning car at the end of the championship race. Keep in mind that the class rules allow for a 100lb decrease if
using an H-pattern gearbox and a 50lb decrease if using a straight axle in the rear. During the Runoffs championship race, the
Mustang spec line showed best in class acceleration and competitive trap speeds. In the end, It won the Runoffs by 15 seconds.
